4 Big Nested Mixing Bowls













Red/white mix clay; noxema blue glaze on upper with randy's red glaze on entire pieces; largest approx 9.5" diameter and 5" tall, smallest approx 5" diameter and 3" tall

My coworker asked me (MONTHS ago...) to make him a set of large mixing bowls that nested one inside the other. What a challenge! It was really hard because I had to measure each one on the inside and outside, make them all the same shape, TRIM them all the same shape, and then pray to the Kiln Gods that they didnt warp or mess up in the kiln. One actually did (the 2nd biggest one) and I had to re-make it, but FINALLY I was able to get them all done. I really liked doing this set because it was so challenging but also so useful... I want to make myself a set now.

Of course, being the idiot I am, I forgot to take a picture of them all nested together... d'oh!
